The Board of Supervisors of the County of Del Norte and the governing body of all other special assessment and taxing districts, for which said Board so acts, is now meeting in special session. Only those items that indicate a specific time will be heard at the assigned time. All other items may be taken out of sequence to accommodate the public and staff availability.

Present: Leslie McNamer, Martha McClure, Michael Sullivan, Gerry Hemmingsen and David Finigan

Absent: None

AGENDA ITEMS

1. COMMENT PERIOD: Members of the public may address the Board on matters which are within the jurisdiction of the Board. If you are addressing the Board regarding a matter listed on the agenda, you may be asked to hold your comments until the Board takes up that matter. Please limit your comments to three minutes or less.

Action: No public comment was heard.

2. Approve and Adopt the following agreements with the Del Norte County Employees Association and the Sheriff's Employees Associations ratifying the Health Insurance Plan Design Modifications effective January 1, 2007, the five percent (5%) biweekly payroll deduction effective December 29, 2006 including a correction to the COLA Language as requested by the County Administrative Officer.**

3. Waive full reading, read by title only and introduce an Ordinance of the Del Norte County Board of Supervisors Amending Chapter 2.04, Section 2.04.030 of the Del Norte County Code Establishing Compensation Scale for the Del Norte County Board of Supervisors.**

Action: This item was brought back for review by Supervisor Sullivan. The ordinance required a 4/5ths vote to approve introduction and was not approved.

5. Approve the Appointment List of the Board of Supervisors Members to Committees, Organizations and Agencies for 2007 as requested by Supervisor Finigan.**

6. Consider writing necessary letters of support regarding H.R. 17, the Secure Rural Schools and Community Self Determination Reauthorization Act of 2007.**

Action: Staff was directed to write lettters of support to the Speaker of the House and appropriate legislators.
